In a pinch, I decided to get a "trim" at the Goulds Peabody location. I thought it would be safe because I only wanted a small amount snipped off the ends. Boy was I sorry! The "stylist" not only chopped off an inch at the bottom but proceeded to cut in "layers" that were so short someone else in the salon had to fix it (by cutting off another inch) so that it was even presentable. Get ready for unknown triple charges I was apalled when I received my bill from the Peabody Hotel. I was not informed of the additional charges i.e. hotel services fee $11.95 and slef parking $18.00 per night. I would have valet parked for $24.00 if I had been informed of these triple charges. For this price, service and comfort are definately lacking. It seems the Peabody is caught up in their own reputation and mystique. A two night stay of expected rest, was anything but restful. Our first room was very small and quite dusty. The shower wouldn't drain. We waited an hour for maintenance to clear it with a line, and were left with a dirty tub.
